January 2 - January 6

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Health:  -  STD Power-Point Project in Library - Students will be assigned an individual STD to research with a partner.  Partners will create a powre-point and present it to the rest of the class.  Students will be graded off of a 100 point scoring rubric. 

Physical Education:   (7th - 10th Grade) - SWIMMING UNIT - Students will be working on various swimming strokes in the pool (front-crawl, under-water swimming, back-crawl, breaststroke, and side-stroke.) The swimming unit will last 3 weeks and the studens will be recquired to change in order to receive full credit.  Swimming suits, towells, and a t-shirt during attendance will be recquired.

 If students do not make up missed classes, they will receive zeros.

PE GRADES ARE BASED ON PARTICIPATION.  SIMPLY JUST CHANGING YOUR CLOTHES DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU WILL BE RECEIVING FULL CREDIT!!!!!!!

December 19 - December 23

Health:  -  Sexual Education Topics - Male/Female Reproductive Systems, Pregnancy, and STD's.  Students will be taking notes related to the material and have assignments in class. 

Physical Education:  

(7th) - Weight Room Unit - Students will be in the weight room performing a variety of muscular strength activities. 
 
(8th) - Basketball Unit in gymnasium.  Students will be applying basketball skills to activities. 
 
(9th & 10th Graders) - Cooperative Games in the gymnasium.  As a group, students will vote an a cooperative game that they want to play that particular day.  Students options will be basketball, volleyball, floor hockey, or football.

 If students do not make up missed classes, they will receive zeros.

(7th) - Health unit related to musclar system.  Students will be learning about the muscualr system and will be in the weight-room performing muscular strenght activities.
 
(8th) - Basketball Unit in gymnasium.  Students will be applying basketball skills to activities.
