December 19 - December 23

Health:  -  Sexual Education Topics - Male/Female Reproductive Systems, Pregnancy, and STD's.  Students will be taking notes related to the material and have assignments in class. 

Physical Education:  

(7th) - Weight Room Unit - Students will be in the weight room performing a variety of muscular strength activities. 

 

(8th) - Basketball Unit in gymnasium.  Students will be applying basketball skills to activities. 

 

(9th & 10th Graders) - Cooperative Games in the gymnasium.  As a group, students will vote an a cooperative game that they want to play that particular day.  Students options will be basketball, volleyball, floor hockey, or football.

 If students do not make up missed classes, they will receive zeros.

PE GRADES ARE BASED ON PARTICIPATION.  SIMPLY JUST CHANGING YOUR CLOTHES DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU WILL BE RECEIVING FULL CREDIT!!!!!!!

Health:  -  Students will be discussing mental health and bullying issues.  Students will have in class activites such as articles, worksheets, and group scenarios.

Students will be finishing their cardiovascular unit which consists of dodge-ball or an alternate activity.

 If students do not make up missed classes, they will receive zeros.

Health:  -  Students will be taking their first exam which is worth 85 points.  A review game will be played Monday to prepare the students.

Physical Education:  

Students will have the option of playing dodge-ball or going to the weight-room.

Health:  -  Students will be working on their writing prompts related to the health triangle.  Students will identify weaknesses and set goals to help improve their overall health.  Students will be graded based off of a scoring rubric.

November 7 - November 11

Physical Education:  

We will begin our Cardiovascular Fitness Unit which involves Dodgeball or Weight-Training.  Students will have the option and will not be forced to play dodgeball.   

 If students do not make up missed classes, they will receive zeros.

Health:  -  Students will be learning about and doing assignments associated with the health triangle.  The health triangle includes the combination of physical, mental, and social health.  Students will analyzing health issues that high school students face.
