Welcome Back!
1st P.E. Unit of the 2013 - 2014 School Year - - - Cardiovascular Fitness (1 Mile Unit)

Students will take part in lead up cardiovascular activities on the track such as walking, jogging, and running.  Students will also be timed in the 1 Mile jog/run (4 laps).  Times will be kept and extra credit may be given for outstanding times on the mile, but grades are based solely on effort.  All students are different and I do not expect everyone to be track stars.  Therefore, no set time will be given as a benchmark that students must meet.  Students will also take their heart rates and will be exposed to physical activities that promote a healthy lifestyle.
